As a community we need to start visiting our local small downtown area merchant's businesses to revigorate our town.  There are two small stores that are relitively new that deserve a visit.

The Tervis Tumbler Store is at 118 N. Franklin Street (next to The Pizza Inn).  Any of the baby boomers can probably recall the plastic, insulated Tervis tumber glasses (they are the ones that didnt perspire and had the neat designs inside).  The Tumbler Store carries a new line of the old style glasses & accessories.  The glasses can be personalized for a special gift or fundraiser.  Take a minute to stop in and visit for a bit of nostaligia and leave those sweaty glasses behind.

The new Mexican grocery store "La Fabulosa" in directly across the street from the Sheriff's Office on South Franklin Street.  It is inside the same doorway of The Factory Store.  La Fabulosa has authentic Mexican supplies, cooking spices, goods & wares, and snacks like chips & sodas.  Take a minute to pull up and see whats inside (if you can find a parking space in the old meter spaces that are taken up by the courthouse parkers!).  There is parking available in the Papa John's lot right behind the building .  If you plan on attending the next Cruisin' Christiansburg on June 14th take a minute and walk up to see Pedro Moran and welcome him to town.
