Early on I posted a blog about civility in which Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court spoke at my law school about the lack of common courtesy and civility towards one another nowadays. There seems to be an "angry white male" syndrome in our little community and whoever he/they are he/they need to get over it because I am way past hatefulness and rightousness and I pray he/they will overcome their bitterness. He recently wrote a lengthy response to my Affirmative Action blog that was very defensive & hateful. I thought to myself that he now knows how Black Americans felt for the past couple of hundred years because his argument was perfect for a 1960's civil rights speech.
Regardless of what he thinks, I am not here to be a "trouble maker", "rebel rouser," or any other name that some have called me for speaking out about things that I question or concern me. I do not want to fight with people anymore like some who want to antagonize me. I am refusing to respond to annonymous bloggers who want to cause a dispute amoung us rather than trying to understand other's points of view. I have learned to respect other people's points of views and hope that they will learn to do so with other poeple that they dont agree with. We can agree to disagree and live in peace and harmony in our small town without trying to cause fights between us. Just because I think something should be done a different way doesnt mean it is the right way or the wrong way but rather it is my way of thinking. I'm not necessarily right most of the time but it is what I think and what my friends and famnily pass on to me to blog about.
Let's try to be nice to one another and live in harmony with peace, love, and understanding.
"If you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all."
