I'm so excited! Its like waiting for the 4th of July parade in the old days. Summer time, outside, hot & humid, downtown stores open along Main Street, and sidewalk vendors. This year on Flag Day in "Olde Towne" we have something to offer southwest Virginia that no other place can offer...a classic, antique, muscle, import, motorcycle, any collector type of vehicle cruisin. Welcome to Crusin Christiansburg 2008!
Thanks to the Grand Classic Cruisers, a group of local friends, who gather in the KMart parking lot every Saturday evening in the summer time, our "Olde Towne" downtown is developing a reputation for the best crusin in southwest Virginia. Christiansburg is being put back on the map for a unique event that is free and the whole family can enjoy. Nowadays with the price of gasoline most families cant afford to travel very far but this event can be a weekend mini vacation in Christiansburg. Spend the day on Saturday at the cruisn enjoying the live bands and kids activities downtown and stay overnight in a motel. This is good, clean, wholesome family fun like the good old days.
