Today I read another wonderful article by Mr. Trejbal. I remember the first time I read Mr. Trejbal's article and thought to myself, "Who is this damn yankee coming in here and saying things like that?" Then I realized what he said was what I was thinking but I had been afraid to say it out of fear of retaliation from our local government agents. I knew that if I said anything like what he said that I would be labeled as a crazy, liberal, "femi-nazi", who was trying to overthrow our government.
I felt sorry for this new guy because I knew he was going to be the object of hate mail, threats, and possibly fear for his financial security & safety because he was speaking out. I'm not making up this type of "revenge" mentality. I personally know from being part of the agents for the government who would be out to get a person if they did not look like us, think like us, or act like us. If you betrayed us by not supporting us then we would find a way to harrass you to put you back in line with our way of thinking. Does this sound familiar to anyone out there? I bet it does.
I have seen it too many times by the constant harrassment of young people, indigent people, and uneducated people. You know, the weak ones who can't advocate for themselves. I remember my "awakening" was when a friend of mine said to me, "You are supposed to be out there enforcing citizen's constitutional rights but everyday you all find a way to violate them." That was a reality shocker for me. I was offended and mad that she said something like that to me, however she was right. I also had an enlightening conversation with a now deceased attorney named, Ed Jasie, who knew Con Law so well that he amazed me. I then decided to pursue a degree specializing in Constitutional Law, so here I am, an informed, educated Con Law Queen.
Don't get me wrong, I can honestly say that the good ones outweigh the bad ones but I dont understand why our government leaders, the ones we put in positions of power, tolerate any bad behavior from their agents. Rudeness has become a common occurance when dealing with employees everywhere but thank goodness the polite employees still outweigh the rude ones. I'd just like to thank Mr. Trejbal for having the courage to stand up in my hometown and say things that I was afraid to say. I think the greatest thing Ronald Reagan ever said was something to the effect of, "We are the greatest country in the world because in the U.S. the people tell the government what they can and cannot do. In all other countries it is just the opposite, the government tells the people what they can and cannot do." I am one of many citizens of the United States of America who know that local government officials cannot violate or suppress my constitutional rights and I am here to speak out from now on until the day I die.
