The following affects you and me, and worse yet, our children and grandchildren. It's another example of how the Bush administration screws up everything its people touch. Oh, yeah, and Bush takes another vacay in the midst of all this. The story is from the Washington Post entitled
Bailout Lacks Oversight Despite Billions Pledged-Watchdog Panel Is Empty; Report Is Unfinished. Eric M. Thorson, the inspector general at the Treasury Department who is temporarily overseeing the bailout program says, "It's a mess[.]"
We are asked for what will be a trillion dollar bailout when it's all over, and no one is in charge and no one knows where the money is going, etc., etc., etc., Oh, good for us.
